Outreach through School Meals

Children participating in free/reduced price meals are much more likely to be uninsured than those who are not. It can be a good idea to target outreach specifically to these children.

The USDA authorizes sharing school meals participant information with certain community organizations who provide BadgerCare+ outreach and enrollment assistance. School districts must enter into a data sharing agreement and provide parents the opportunity to opt-out of sharing their information.
